What is astrology good for?

People need astrology, to say a bit naively, because this discipline (one may call it art or science) helps us explain the meaning of life. When through chemistry and astronomy one speaks about celestial bodies, he takes into consideration only their physical and chemical characteristics. And then it turns out that everything in space is only gas, ash, ball, stone etc. Only astrology speaks about the meaning of the movement of the planets and is even able to see the effects of that movement on human lives.
Astrology teaches us that all events in our lives have a meaning and that we can learn from them. Everything has a meaning but we often cannot clearly understand that meaning. From the point of view of life as a whole, each its phase has a certain significance.
Astrology can also help people realize that they can improve their lives if they are willing to discover and use their own inner potentials.
We all look at our lives from our own personal point of view but it is also good, from the time to time, to change that position. Astrology can open for us such question as: Do we provoke certain events in our lives or do they happen to us as some predetermined things imposed upon us by somebody else from the external world? Why do the same patterns repeat to us constantly if we do not provoke them? etc.
